After the victory of the 1911 Revolution, the Qing Emperor abdicated and the Republic of China was established. Sun Yat-sen, the pioneer of the Chinese democratic revolution, took office as the interim president of the Republic of China, and proposed in the "temporary presidential decree" that "a new model will be published and a commemorative coin will be produced". Then the two mints in Wuchang and Nanjing took the lead. The bronze coin of the "Republic of China Commemorative Coins" was cast, with a total of ten denominations, which was issued in large numbers in the country to replace the Qing Dynasty copper. This is the origin of the "Cambodian Yuan of the Republic of China".
After the founding of the Republic of China, the copper dollar continued to be widely used. In 1914, the copper yuan was officially renamed "copper coin". The biggest difference between the copper coin issued by the Republic of China and the Qing Dynasty was that the dragon pattern was replaced by Jiahe pattern composed of rice ears. Most of the copper coins cast by the provinces are the flag pattern of the two sides of the fork, and there are the words "opening commemorative coins" or "Chinese Republic of China copper coins".
The double-flag currency was born in the Republic of China, and the Republic of China only existed for decades in Chinese history. Therefore, in the era of turmoil, the coins can still be completely preserved after an infinite number of years. It is not easy, and it has a high value of cultural relics collection, historical and cultural value, and art value. This kind of positive commemorative coin engraved with the "Ten Wen" syllabic characters and the reversed side of the "Republic of China" double-sided banner is also rare in today's collection market.
