廣東省造光緒元寶庫平重壹兩雙龍壽字幣鑄于光緒三十一年(1905)初，為紀念慈禧六十壽辰而鑄。張炯伯在《廣東省造銀幣》一文中寫道：“惟本品因未紀年，殊難遽斷，然觀其圖案，諧作福壽，環繞雙龍，幕無英文，意含頌祝，大異常制。由此以推，成為紀念幣之一種，專鑄以祝慈禧太后六旬萬壽者也。

此幣正面以珠圈為界，可分為內外兩個部分：珠圈以外，上端為“廣東省造”四字，下方為“庫平重一兩”五字，左右兩側各鑄一蝙蝠圖案，寓有吉祥的含義。因為，蝙蝠的“蝠”字與幸福的“福”字讀音相同，而把蝙蝠圖案鑄在幣面上，系取“蝠”、“福”兩字諧音，珠圈以內，鑄有滿、漢文“光緒元寶”四字。背面也以珠圈為界：珠圈外面，鑄有雙龍圖案;珠圈里面，鑄有一圓形“壽”字，將它與背面的“壽”字相對應取意，便構成“福壽雙全”之意。由于廣東省造光緒元寶庫平重壹兩雙龍壽字幣不便于流通使用，故鑄額極其稀少。
