In October 1905 (Guangxu 31), the General Mint of the Ministry of Household Mint set up by the Qing Government in Tianjin began to cast new-style copper coins of the "Great Qing Dynasty" and promulgated "Ten Articles of Regulation on Rectification of the Border Law", which stipulated that "the unified manufacture of copper coins of the Great Qing Dynasty and the issue of ancestral models by the Ministry of Household are the same as those of the General Mint, except that the name of the province is added to the front side so as to facilitate Check it out." In July 1906 (Guangxu 32), the household Department of the Qing government invited the court to merge 24 copper yuan bureaus into nine. During this period, the prominent characteristics of the copper yuan were that the front of the copper yuan cast by the Ministry of Hubu had no words in the center, while the front of the copper yuan cast by the provinces had a single province name in the middle of a single negative script, and there were also individual positive scripts to show the difference. The circulation time of copper coins in the Qing Dynasty was relatively short. Because of its elegant layout, exquisite sculpture and scarce stock, the Guangxunian household office of the Great Qing Copper coin was praised as one of the ten famous products in modern Chinese coinage.
