銅元，之后各省紛紛仿效。共有十九個省局鑄造，除中央戶部，地方省所鑄銅元，皆在其正面上緣鐫寫省名。光緒元寶是大清光緒年流通大面值貨幣之首，是我國首批引進海外技術的印發流通貨幣，對于現今也蘊藏了一定歷史意義。其鑄期歷時甚長（從光緒22年—光緒34年[1896至1908年]），歷經十余載，幣模幾經更替，即使同一鑄造年份亦往往由于修模、幣材、工藝技術、工廠管理等諸多因素，造成版別異常繁雜。洋務運動也影響到鑄幣業，兩廣總督張之洞曾于光緒十三年（1887年）委托使英大臣在英國訂 購全套造幣機器，并在廣東錢局首鑄機制銀元和銅元。其后，各省紛紛仿效，購制國外機械鑄造銀、銅元。錢幣正面鮮然可見滿漢文化的融合，而錢背卻明確標示了西方文化的介入。當制十文與當制二十文較少，具有很高的收藏價值，現在市面真品一幣難求！
此組錢幣正面中心“光緒元寶”四個正楷，蒼勁有力，左右分布滿漢文戶部造，下方注明當制錢十文，二十文，背面單龍，工藝精湛，雕工完美，栩栩如生，體現出錦龍騰飛的皇家威嚴。整體來看，包漿老氣入骨，刻字紋飾清晰，錢面上的銅銹無不是歷史長河的見證。且該組光緒元寶為紅銅質，也是中國銅元十珍之一，因其形制獨特而備受矚目，是最具特色和傳奇的銅元珍品，令銅元愛好者和收藏家們孜孜以求，此枚鑄造精美，齒邊銳利，版底完美無瑕，且包漿自然，如此完全未使用之極佳品相，更為珍罕。也是老爺爺手上得來頗有緣分。故存世量極少且極具收藏價值。
Guangxu Yuanbao is one of the currencies that circulated during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. Zhang Zhidong, the governor of Hubei Guangdong and Guangxi, took the lead in introducing the British coinage machine to cast copper coins, after which the provinces followed suit. A total of 19 provincial bureaus were cast. In addition to the Central Ministry of Housing and the local provinces, copper coins were cast on the front edge of the province. Guangxu Yuanbao is the first currency of large face value in the Qing dynasty. It is the first issued currency to introduce overseas technology in China and has a certain historical significance for today. Its casting period lasted for a long time(from Guangxu 22 years-Guangxu 34 years[ 1896 to 1908] After more than ten years, the coins have been replaced several times. Even in the same casting year, due to many factors such as mold repair, coin, process technology, and factory management, the editions are extremely complicated. The Westernization Movement also affected the seigniorage industry. Zhang Zhidong, the Governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, commissioned the British Minister to order a full set of mint machines in the United Kingdom in the thirteenth year of Guangxu(1887), and the first casting mechanism of silver and copper coins in the Guangdong Money Bureau. Afterwards, the provinces followed suit and purchased foreign machinery to cast silver and copper coins. The combination of Manchu culture can be seen on the front of the coins, and the back of the money clearly indicates the involvement of Western culture. When the system of ten texts and the system of twenty texts is less, it has a high collection value. Now it is difficult to find real goods in the market!
