藏品簡介：玉必有工，工必有意，意必吉祥，“如意”一詞出于印度梵語“阿娜律”。幾千年來，玉作為一種吉祥物，它被人們賦予了吉祥如意的美好寓意。在清朝時期，“如意”在宮廷中得到了最廣泛的應(yīng)用。如皇帝登極大典上，主管禮儀的臣下必敬獻一柄“如意”，以祝政通人和，新政順利；在皇帝會見外國使臣時，也要饋贈“如意”，以示締結(jié)兩國友好，國泰民安。在帝后、嬪妃的寢室中均有“如意”，以頤神養(yǎng)性，兆示吉安；特別是在帝后大婚，及至宮中萬壽，中秋元旦時節(jié)，都需要臣下敬獻數(shù)量不少的“如意”，以寓意帝后平安大吉，福星高照?？梢?，一件小小的“如意”，是集宮廷禮儀、民間往來、陳設(shè)賞玩為一體的珍貴之物。
