"三孔布是戰國時期布幣的一種，圓首圓肩圓足，因首部與兩足均有一孔而得名。除三孔這一特點外，背文尚有“兩”或“十二朱”以銖兩為單位的計重，這在先秦布幣中是絕無僅有的。有關三孔布的最早記錄來自清嘉慶二十四年(1819年)，金石名家初尚齡所著的《吉金所見錄》。以后歷經百余年至今，三孔布已陸續發現不同地名30余種，種類雖多但每一品種均寥若晨星，不少為僅見孤品。此枚三孔布幣，其文字清晰，銅質微紅。首部，兩個圓足部位各有一個圓圈，面、背周沿有邊廓，合范較為準確。錢幣兩面均有先秦文字，文字清晰，整體古樸自然，端莊典雅，銹色自然，包漿老道，鑄造精美。

戰國時期已距今兩千多年，當時的歷史傳奇故事為后人追憶稱道。今天，不僅僅是戰國時期的故事令我們感慨萬千，特屬于那個時期的貨幣——戰國布幣更加受人追捧，它們不僅僅為我們傳遞著豐富的歷史文化信息，更為古幣愛好者帶來無限的收藏樂趣。三孔布幣面紀地名，據學者研究，“下陽”在今河北省寧晉縣東北；幣背紀重量“兩”或“朱”，間紀數字，分為兩種幣值，大者一兩，小者十二朱（半兩），目前發現以小型居多，1983年山西朔縣首度考古出土的“宋子·十二朱”和國內各公立博物館藏品，亦均屬小型三孔布。布幣因形狀似鏟，又稱鏟布，春秋早期出現，直至戰國晚期鑄行并流通的鏟形貨幣。我國古代把一種類似鏟的挖土工具稱為“镈”，在物物交換的時代人們經常拿這種挖土工具去換取別的東西，但用這種東西做交換比較麻煩，周景王便把這種農具小型化，鑄成象征性的“镈”，成為了交換媒介，于是發展成了價值符號。"
