大清銅幣，學(xué)名清代機(jī)制銅圓，鑄造始于1900年(清光緒二十六年)，止于1911年(宣統(tǒng)三年)。鑄造流通時(shí)間盡管只有十余年，但其鼎盛時(shí)期全國共有十七省二十局開機(jī)鑄造銅圓。十七二十局先后鑄造的當(dāng)十銅圓，各不相同，版式繁多。僅以明顯區(qū)別劃分，其版式亦有數(shù)百種之多。如以細(xì)微區(qū)別劃分，其版式在千種以上。因此當(dāng)代銅圓收藏愛好者每每以搜尋不同版式的銅圓為最大樂事。清代機(jī)制銅圓版式繁多，尤以當(dāng)十者為最。清代末期開機(jī)鑄造銅圓的十七省二十局，無一不鑄造當(dāng)十銅圓，而二文、五文、二十文銅圓則僅有部分省局鑄造。故本文所列銅圓收藏方法，僅就當(dāng)十銅圓而言。光緒二十六年(1900)，李鴻章奏準(zhǔn)在廣東開鑄銅元。清銅元主要分為兩大類，在先的一類幣面書“光緒元寶”，在后的一類幣面書“大清銅幣”。除廣東外，先后開鑄的廠局還有福建、湖北、四川、清江等20余局，湖北是銅元鑄造大省，
