崇寧是中國歷史上堪稱藝術造詣最高的皇帝宋徽宗趙佶的第二個年號。北宋徽宗趙佶崇寧年間(1102-1100年)鑄有崇寧通寶、崇寧重寶和崇寧元寶三種。崇寧通寶錢文為徽宗親書,所以又其為御書錢。該錢文書法清秀骨瘦,鐵劃銀鉤,是徽宗趙佶瘦金書體存留世間的真實顯現。宋徽宗貴為一國君王,治國雖無方, 但他在書法上卻獨辟蹊徑,自創“瘦金書” ,為一代書法宗主.并將此書體文字鑄于錢上."崇寧通寶"及是活例.宋徽宗更因鑄錢精絕,而于王莽并稱“錢法二圣”。錢體厚重,青銅質,銹色古舊,開門的老生坑。崇寧重寶錢文隸書,古樸方正,嚴謹莊重,法度固定,深具骨秀格清之氣韻,書法超妙絕倫。
Chongning is the second year of Zhao You, the highest artistic attainment emperor in Chinese history. In the period of Zhao You Chongning (1102-1100), Huizong of the Northern Song Dynasty, Chongning Tongbao, Chongning Chongbao and Chongning Yuanbao were cast. Chongning Tongbao Qianwen is Huizong's relative book, so it is imperial book money. The Qian's handwriting is delicate and thin, with a silver hook drawn by iron. 此組藏品包含一枚崇寧通寶、一枚崇寧重寶。崇寧通寶錢體厚重,青銅質,銹色古舊。其錢文四字飽滿,正面書“崇寧通寶”四字,“寶、寧”二字冠點長且向左傾。其輪廓寬窄,方形穿孔。崇寧重寶銅幣正面鐫刻著“崇寧重寶”,字體為隸書,端莊雄秀,古樸方正,嚴謹莊重,法度固定,字里行間留在錢幣上的,是腐蝕錢幣的鐵銹;銅幣背面則沒有印制任何的字體。錢幣呈圓形,中間有方孔,便于老百姓將其串起來掛在身上,不易丟失。整體方正大方,落落得體,輪廓立體。此組錢幣整體鑄造規整,字體清晰,風格獨特,字體筆法流暢,紋飾刻制工細,具有鮮明的時代特色。

崇寧通寶與崇寧重寶之所以能完美的展現宋徽宗高超的藝術水平,與徽宗一朝登峰造極的鑄銅水平息息相關。以崇寧重寶銅母錢為例,崇寧重寶銅母錢能夠做到不需修整任何字口,鑄造精度能直接達到母錢甚至原母錢的水準,這種技術能力即使七百年后的清代母錢也難以做到。時至今日,宋徽宗御筆書法已為國之至寶,一紙難求。崇寧重寶作為徽宗瘦金體書法藝術真實到代的物質載體,具有重要的史料價值和藝術價值。
The reason why Chongning Tongbao and Chongning Chongbao can perfectly display the superb artistic level of Huizong in Song Dynasty is closely related to the level of copper casting in which Huizong once reached the peak. Taking Chongning Chongbao Copper Money as an example, Chongning Chongbao Copper Money can achieve no need to trim any words, casting accuracy can directly reach the level of mother money or even original mother money, this technical ability is difficult to achieve even after 700 years of mother money in Qing Dynasty. Up to now, the imperial pen calligraphy of Song Huizong has become the most precious treasure of the country, which is hard to find. Chongning Chongbao, as the material carrier of Huizong's lean gold calligraphy art, has important historical data value and artistic value.
