宣統(tǒng)元寶是清朝貨幣名，是宣統(tǒng)年間發(fā)行的宣統(tǒng)年號銀圓。宣統(tǒng)三年大清銀幣為前清之正式國幣，原期辛亥十月發(fā)行。尚未發(fā)行，武昌事起，國體忽變。

從清朝早期開始，流入中國的白銀大都是以銀元的形式出現(xiàn)，其中最為典型的有西班牙本洋、墨西哥鷹洋、英屬地銀元、日本龍洋等。由于外國銀元制作精美，分量標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，便于計枚核值，使用十分方便，很受流通市場的歡迎。外國銀元的大量使用使得“當(dāng)局者始竊竊憂之”，并“提議自鑄銀元（銀幣），以抵制外銀之輸入”。

光緒末年，云南省獲準(zhǔn)在昆明寶云局舊址設(shè)廠，招用四川技工并以德國進(jìn)口機(jī)器按當(dāng)時天津戶部祖模造幣。1907年建成云南銀元局后又改名云南造幣廠，生產(chǎn)銀幣。宣統(tǒng)二年和宣統(tǒng)三年鑄造了“宣統(tǒng)元寶”。

此枚云南省造宣統(tǒng)元寶庫平三錢六分，重13.1克左右。大小合適，尺寸頗佳。錢幣正面珠圈內(nèi)鑄滿漢文“宣統(tǒng)元寶”，珠圈外上環(huán)鑄刻“云南省造”，下環(huán)鑄“庫平三錢六分”，字體端莊工整，挺拔俊秀，筆法流暢，十分俊美。錢幣背面中心為蟠龍圖案，紋理清晰，線條優(yōu)美，龍麟細(xì)膩，定睛一看猶如一條翱翔天際的神龍，讓人嘆為觀止。上環(huán)書英文:YUN-NAN PROVINCE(云南省)，下環(huán)依舊鐫刻英文:3MACE AND 6 CANDAREENS (三錢六分)，左右各鑄十字星，小巧精美，玲瓏可愛，藝術(shù)價值極高。藏品有自然的銀銹，品相完好，形制規(guī)整，質(zhì)地優(yōu)良，字體筆法流暢，紋飾刻制工細(xì)。此種錢幣存世量稀少，有不錯的收藏價值。
