每一套錢幣的誕生都與當時的政治、經濟、文化、藝術以及科技有密切關系，圖案設計反映了當時的社會經濟狀況和政治風貌，其印制鑄造質量反映了當時的印制鑄造技術和工藝水平。光緒元寶就是其中一類工藝水平極高即有藝術欣賞價值又有投資收藏價值的錢幣，對其研究舊中國當時所處的經濟文化等方面有著非一般的價值。光緒元寶是清朝光緒年間流通的貨幣之一。由湖北兩廣總督張之洞率先引進英國鑄幣機器鑄造銀元和銅元，之后各省紛紛仿效。共有十九個省局鑄造，除中央戶部，地方省所鑄銀元與銅元，皆在其正面上緣鐫寫省名。

此兩枚光緒元寶錢幣分別為浙江省造與吉林省造。兩枚錢幣正面珠圈內鐫“光緒元寶”四字，珠圈外上方分別鐫楷書“浙江省造、吉林省造”字樣，下方鐫楷書“庫平七錢二分”六字，兩旁鐫花飾。背面蟠龍居中，外圈為英文。浙江省造版左右兩側分別鐫一小花飾，吉林省造版左右兩側分別鐫滿文。錢幣字體磅礴大氣，色澤美艷，鑄造規整，龍圖、字面均保存完好，壓鑄深峻清晰，原味包漿均勻，帶有溫潤銀光，狀態頗佳，無戳印，集稀少版別與上佳品相于一身，極為難得具有極高的投資價值和收藏價值。它有著歷史熏陶，是價值很高的革命文物，具有深遠的歷史紀念意義；同時還是考古和研究中國歷史文化難得的實物。
The two Guangxu Yuanbao coins were made in Zhejiang Province and Jilin Province respectively. The two coins have four characters of "Guangxu Yuanbao" on the inside of the bead circle on the front side, the letters "Made in Zhejiang Province and Jilin Province" on the top of the bead circle and the letters "Made in Jilin Province" on the bottom of the regular script "Kuping Qian Bian" on six words, with decorations on both sides. The dragon on the back is in the middle and the outer ring is in English. A small flower ornament is engraved on the left and right sides of the edition in Zhejiang Province, and Manchu is engraved on the left and right sides of the edition in Jilin Province. Coin fonts are magnificent, beautiful in color, regular in casting, well-preserved in dragon drawings and literals, deep and clear in die casting, even in original paste, with warm silver light, in good condition and without stamps. They are rare editions and top-quality products. They are extremely valuable for investment and collection. It is a revolutionary cultural relic with high value and profound historical Memorial significance. It is also a rare object in Archaeology and research of Chinese history and culture.
光緒元寶是大清光緒年流通大面值貨幣之首，是我國首批引進海外技術的印發流通貨幣，對于現今也蘊藏了一定歷史意義。雖然錢幣正面依舊是滿漢文化的融合，但是背面卻標示著西方文明的介入。錢幣雖小，卻也很現實的反映了當時的社會、文化、時政以及格局。光緒元寶，發行于1887年，結束于1912年，短短的25年，卻見證了華夏2000多年的封建制度的終結。是中國第一枚使用的機制鑄幣。極具收藏價值。
