光緒元寶是清朝光緒年間流通的貨幣之一。由湖北兩廣總督張之洞率先引進(jìn)英國(guó)鑄幣機(jī)器鑄造銀元和銅元，之后各省紛紛仿效。共有十九個(gè)省局鑄造，除中央戶部，地方省所鑄銅元，皆在其正面上緣鐫寫省名。
Guangxu Yuanbao was one of the currencies circulated during the period of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty. 正面以珠圈為界，可分為內(nèi)外兩個(gè)部分，錢幣珠圈內(nèi)鑄“光緒元寶”四字，上環(huán)“云南省造”四字，下環(huán)“庫(kù)平三錢六分”，左右兩端飾有六點(diǎn)星花，小巧可愛，字體端莊清秀，筆畫圓潤(rùn)飽滿。錢幣背面是蟠龍圖，眼睛炯炯有神；龍鱗雕刻細(xì)密有致，騰云駕霧，身姿遒勁有力；龍爪張揚(yáng)，神武有力；龍身盤踞太陽(yáng)，盡顯皇家威嚴(yán)大氣。紋飾如刀刻所成，鑄造工藝極其精湛，龍身紋路精美，并有云海襯托，看上去仿佛是一幅神龍翱翔天際的油畫，極其瑰麗，美得動(dòng)人心魄。

云南省造光緒元寶正面外圈頂部則是鑄有“云南省造”，下面為“庫(kù)平三錢六分”，此枚錢幣背面神龍圖看上去就仿佛是一幅畫卷，美到極致。
