光緒元寶是清朝光緒年間流通的貨幣之一。由湖北兩廣總督張之洞率先引進(jìn)英國(guó)鑄幣機(jī)器鑄造銀元和銅元，之后各省紛紛仿效。共有十九個(gè)省局鑄造，除中央戶部，地方省所鑄銅元，皆在其正面上緣鐫寫(xiě)省名。

此枚光緒元寶云南省造庫(kù)平三錢六分，藏品正面鑄有銘文，頂部鑄楷體“云南省造”四字，底部鑄貨幣價(jià)值“庫(kù)平三錢六分”，中心直讀“光緒元寶”四字，幣中心為滿文“光緒元寶”，外圈兩側(cè)各有一朵四角花紋裝飾；背面正中為蟠龍圖，上下邊緣環(huán)繞英文，左右各一花星。神龍眼神靈異炯炯有神，龍鱗雕刻細(xì)密有致，騰云駕霧，身姿遒勁有力、龍爪張揚(yáng)，盡展皇家威嚴(yán)大氣，具有極高的觀賞價(jià)值。
