【簡介】
順治通寶是滿清入關后鑄行的第一種錢幣，最初為仿明錢鑄幣，逐步完善成了滿清幣制，在清代錢幣中獨具特色，此后清朝歷代的鑄幣都是依照順治錢式鑄造。順治元年，在北京于工部、戶部開設寶源局、寶泉局鑄幣，上用楷書寫著"順治通寶"。順治通寶的幣型未能統一，按照背文可分為五種，也就是"順治五式"。
康熙通寶鑄于清圣祖康熙年間。錢面文字“康熙通寶”以楷書書寫。背面文字主要兩大類：一類是仿"順治四式"的滿文錢，錢背滿文"寶泉"、"寶源"左讀。另一類是仿"順治五式"滿漢文錢。康熙在位的61年里，全國共開設了鑄錢局24處。每一文康熙通寶錢幣在當時的制造標準分別是重一錢四分、一錢、七分，所以我們今天看到的“康熙通寶”錢也分大、中、小三種不同的重量。
乾隆通寶鑄于清高宗乾隆年間，錢面文字"乾隆通寶"以楷書書寫。錢背文字沿雍正滿文錢式穿孔左邊有"寶"字，穿孔右邊鑄有各局名。乾隆通寶因乾隆二字諧音“錢隆”而備受后世藏家所喜愛。“乾隆通寶”當時發行時間較長，鑄量極大且加之流傳至今時間較短，是現代世界中露臉頻率最高的一種古錢幣。
嘉慶通寶鑄于清仁宗嘉慶年間。錢面文字"嘉慶通寶"以楷書書寫，從上而下而右而左直讀。錢背滿文左"寶"，右記局名19字（如泉、源、蘇、河、廣等）。少數錢背星月紋以及記地或祥瑞漢字(如：桂、福、壽、康、寧)，吉語背文如："天子萬歲"、"國泰民安"、"天下太平"、"日日生財"、"嘉慶萬歲"、"唯和唯一"、"如賣三倍"、"四方來賀"、"五世同堂"等多達20種，為歷代古泉所僅見。
“順治”的“順”寓意順利、遂心；“康熙”的“康”寓意健康、平安；“乾隆”的“乾”與“錢”諧音，符合人們對富裕生活向往意愿；“嘉慶”的“嘉”寓意完美和諧；道光諧音“倒光”、“盜光”，就目前來講，古錢界很多人還是喜歡寓意好的錢幣。
