此圖正中為西方三圣像，阿彌陀佛、觀世音菩薩及大勢至菩薩，均結(jié)跏趺坐于大蓮花座上。正中的阿彌陀佛，雙手結(jié)禪定印，掌上置有蓋蓮臺。阿彌陀佛寶髻高聳，端身正坐。兩旁觀音與勢至都以微側(cè)身傾向正中的阿彌陀佛。
佛壇前方是蓮座菱形格交織而成的琉璃寶地，有圣眾菩薩羅列兩旁，均盛裝華服長衲曳地，瓔珞玉佩垂掛，其手中各捧香、燈、果、花、涂（涂香）、樂（樂器）以為供養(yǎng)。左右兩側(cè)又有二位手持網(wǎng)羅幢的菩薩（或天人），遙遙對立，畫中呈側(cè)姿。阿彌陀佛的頂上有二重寶蓋，上飾垂縵、珠寶。三圣像的四周兩側(cè)是聲聞弟子，左右各八尊，其中造形較特殊者，如長眉、持錫杖、頭覆斗篷、面現(xiàn)梵形，手持貝葉經(jīng)，體態(tài)碩大等等。琉璃寶地之上，尚有跪地的菩薩（或天人）、著僧服的比丘、俗家打扮的在家佛弟子等，那是以后側(cè)視觀。西方三圣像的后面，也就是畫面的上方部分，為妙華宮殿、眾寶樓閣，和一些浮在虛空中的景物。如虛空寶閣、尊勝寶幢、多層佛塔、空中經(jīng)行思道的行者、飛空而至的他方菩薩等等。間隔在其中者，尚有七重行樹。眾寶樓閣前的蓮池，池中蓮花大如車輪。七層寶塔四周是圍繞經(jīng)行的聲聞弟子圣眾。在琉璃寶地的正前方，也就是畫幅的下方部分，畫的是一大蓮池海會圖，有七重欄楯、七重羅網(wǎng)、光現(xiàn)花幢、光現(xiàn)寶幢，和分十四支出水的摩尼寶珠，寶珠的光中出現(xiàn)化鳥。大蓮池所表現(xiàn)的主題是九品往生，最前一排，面向西方三圣像，作背后觀的行者是聞法受記、上品上生、花開見佛等等。整體觀之，通幅「極樂世界莊嚴(yán)圖」，人物眾多，景物繁復(fù)，但通過設(shè)計者細(xì)致的安排，形成一幅結(jié)構(gòu)嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)，左右對稱，敷色鮮艷，樹木宮殿與圣眾菩薩之間，虛實互補(bǔ)，列序有秩，將《阿彌陀經(jīng)》等凈土諸經(jīng)所闡述的極樂世界勝妙景觀，鉅細(xì)靡遺的呈現(xiàn)出來。

On the top of Amitabha is a double treasure cover, decorated with drakes and jewels. On both sides of the three icons, there are vocal disciples, eight on the left and right, among which the shapes are more special, such as long eyebrows, holding tin sticks, capes, faces and brahma, holding the leaf meridians, and large bodies. Wait. Above the glass treasure, there are still Bodhisattvas(or heavenly people) in the ground, monks in the clothes, and disciples in the family dressed up. That is the view of the future. Behind the three Western icons, that is, the upper part of the screen, are Miaohua palaces, public pavilions, and some scenery floating in the virtual air. Such as the empty treasure house, Zun Sheng Bao building, multi-storey pagodas, the traveler who walks through the air, the other bodhisattvas who fly to the air and so on. There are still seven pairs of trees that are separated. In the lotus pond in front of the Zhongbao Pavilion, the lotus flower in the pool is as large as a wheel. Around the seven-story pagoda are the disciples of the disciples. In front of the glass treasure, which is the lower part of the painting, is a large Lotus pond sea meeting map. There are seven columns, seven heavy nets, light flower buildings, light and treasure buildings, and fourteen points of expenditure. Water's Mani Baozhu, Baozhu appeared in the light of the bird. The theme of the Great Lotus Pond is nine products, the front row, facing the three statues of the West.
