定窯是五大名窯之一，它是繼唐代的邢窯白瓷之后興起的一大瓷窯體系。而黑定（烏金釉）屬定窯瓷器中的極品，完美品極為罕見，此稀世珍品小口，長頸，圈足。其釉面流淌的淚痕，與修胎時遺留的絲刷痕跡，這些都是定窯瓷器的顯著特征。整器光素無紋。通體施烏金釉，釉色如墨似漆，釉面光亮可鑒，近足露胎，可見堅質細膩的胎骨。釉色屬黑釉中最美發色，成色穩定、深邃。觀其釉色內部閃爍如星空，結晶深黃褐色，遠觀不顯山露水，深藏黑釉之中，胎壁薄而堅致，釉不及底，足平切，刀口利落不拖泥帶水，為宋代定窯烏金釉瓷器典型特征。此定窯烏金釉梅瓶都屬獨一無二、珍稀無比，藏家嘴里所言“定窯烏金釉瓷器出世即飚天價”，確實不過！黑定瓷自古便是十分珍貴的品種，價值也在白定之上，完整傳世者更少，除各大博物館館藏之外，世面所見寥寥無幾，更推升了它的價值。2002年香港佳士得秋季拍賣會中，一件“北宋定窯黑釉鷓鴣斑盌”以1314萬元的價格成交，這還是早年的價格，放到如今幾乎可媲美2014年香港蘇富比1.16億成交的“北宋定窯劃花八棱大盌”。此后多年也很少有見到宋代黑定瓷的拍賣記錄。定窯清雅脫俗、色瑩可愛，自古乃屬中國名瓷之列。近年來，定窯已成為收藏市場光芒最盛的瓷器藝術品類，不論是在國內還是國際市場上，其價格都呈強力上漲趨勢，拍賣會上頻出天價！
