中國(guó)琉璃藝術(shù)歷史悠久,最早在商周就有記載,最初制作琉璃的材料,是從青銅器鑄造時(shí)產(chǎn)生的副產(chǎn)品中獲得的,經(jīng)過(guò)提煉加工然后制成琉璃。唐朝韋應(yīng)物《詠琉璃》中描寫“有色同寒冰,無(wú)物隔纖塵”就傳達(dá)出琉璃燦爛奪目的誘人風(fēng)采。
China's coloured glaze art has a long history. It was first recorded in Shang and Zhou dynasties. The materials used to make coloured glaze were obtained from the by-products produced when bronze ware was cast, refined and processed, and then made into coloured glaze. Tang Dynasty Wei Yingwu's "Ode to Coloured Glaze" describes that "color is the same as ice, and there is nothing to separate fiber and dust" conveys the dazzling and attractive elegant demeanour of coloured glaze.
據(jù)說(shuō),古法琉璃是公元前493年越國(guó)的范蠡鑄劍時(shí)發(fā)現(xiàn)的,被越王命名為“蠡”。之后范蠡遍訪能工巧匠 ,將“蠡”打造成精美的首飾作為定情之物送給了西施。同年因?yàn)閼?zhàn)事,西施前往吳國(guó)和親,不得不舍情取義,臨別時(shí)將“蠡”送還。傳說(shuō)中西施的眼淚滴在這“蠡”上,天地日月為之所動(dòng),至今還可以看到淚水在其中流動(dòng),被后人稱之為“流蠡”(琉璃諧音)。故事雖然凄美,但卻為琉璃增添了無(wú)限神秘色彩。
It is said that the ancient French coloured glaze was discovered in 493 BC by fan Li of yue state when casting a sword. it was named "Li" by the king of yue. After that, Fan Li visited skilled craftsmen and gave Xi Shi the exquisite jewelry made of Li as a token of his love. In the same year, because of the war, Xi Shi went to Wu and made a marriage. she had to sacrifice her feelings for justice and returned Li when she left. Legend has it that Xi Shi's tears dripped on this "Li", and heaven, earth, sun and moon were moved by it. Up to now, tears can still be seen flowing in it. Later people call it "Liu Li" (homophonic for coloured glaze). Although the story is poignant, it adds infinite mystery to coloured glaze.
古法琉璃的制作工藝相當(dāng)復(fù)雜,火里來(lái)、水里去,要幾十道工序才能完成,古法琉璃的精品制作相當(dāng)費(fèi)時(shí),有的光制作過(guò)程就要十幾二十天,而且主要依靠手工制作。當(dāng)中的各個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)的把握相當(dāng)困難,其火候把握之難更可以說(shuō)是一半靠技藝一半憑運(yùn)氣,更關(guān)鍵的是,古法琉璃不可回收,所以世上沒(méi)有兩款一模一樣的琉璃。
The making process of ancient colored glaze is quite complicated. It takes dozens of processes to make it into the fire and into the water. The making of exquisite colored glaze of ancient method is quite time-consuming, and some light making process takes more than 10 to 20 days, and mainly depends on manual making. It is quite difficult to grasp the various links in the process. The difficulty in controlling the temperature can be said to be half due to skill and half due to luck.
