該銅幣正面圖案中央為兩面交叉的國(guó)旗，上方為“湖南省造”4個(gè)字，下面為記值：當(dāng)制錢二十文。背面圖案為稻穗組成的嘉禾紋，周邊并有英文標(biāo)注”TWENTYCASH”。
