1966年是中國糧票史上最具有深遠(yuǎn)意義的一年8月25日，國務(wù)院全體會(huì)議第17次會(huì)議通過《市鎮(zhèn)糧食定量供應(yīng)憑證印制暫行辦 法》9月5日，糧食部以命令發(fā)布了這一暫行辦法從此，各種糧食票證便開始進(jìn)入中國社會(huì)，揭開了中國“票證經(jīng)濟(jì)”的帷幕66年9月，隨著國家開始在全國范圍實(shí)行糧食統(tǒng)購統(tǒng)銷政策的頒布，由“中華人民共和國糧食部”名義 印制的66年版糧票開始在全國各地發(fā)行使用66年、國家糧食部在66年版全國通用糧票供應(yīng)不足的情況下，在65年版別的基礎(chǔ)上又進(jìn)行了兩次印刷66年版同66年版刷色、式樣及背面說明均完全相同各種糧票票面規(guī)定的數(shù)額均以成品糧計(jì)算。

1966年糧票全國通用伍市斤糧票一組三張，票面上寫有“全國通用伍市斤糧票”，左上角為“中華人民共和國糧食部”，幾字下為“全國通用糧票”，右側(cè)為幣值“伍市斤”，背面為糧票的使用說明。此糧票圖案、花紋線條精細(xì)，油墨配色合理，圖案美觀大方，還選用了具有耐磨、耐潮、光滑的鈔票紙印制，很具收藏價(jià)值。
