Copper coins in the period of the Republic of China are the best of modern Chinese coins. They are historical edification, highly valuable revolutionary relics and have far-reaching historical commemorative significance. Because the vicissitudes of politics and finance in modern China are reflected in a small coin, which is a rare object for Archaeology and research of Chinese history and culture. It is also a kind of high-grade collection with both appreciation value and use value. With its withdrawal from the circulation market, it is becoming more and more popular among collectors.
In 1911, the victory of the 1911 Revolution and the founding of the Republic of China ended the rule of the Qing Dynasty in 267. At the beginning of its establishment, the military government of Sichuan was faced with financial distress, so it quickly took over the Chengdu Mint and decided to forge "Sichuan Copper coin" for emergency. In the first year of the Republic of China, the military government of Sichuan ordered the Chengdu Mint in Sichuan to open a mould and make "Sichuan Copper coin military government made".
"Sichuan Copper coin made by the military government" was the product of the 1911 Revolution. In December 1911, the Chengdu Mutiny took place. The Sichuan Military Government, with Yin Changheng and Laurent as its chief and deputy governors, replaced the Sichuan Military Government, which had only been established for 12 days. In the Chengdu Mutiny, the former Sichuan Fanku, Daqing Bank, Junchuanyuan Bank and all ticket numbers, money banks and shops were robbed by rioters. After the establishment of the new Sichuan Military Government, it was faced with a financial dilemma that needed to spend more and more money. The military government quickly took over the Chengdu Mint in Sichuan and decided to coin "Sichuan Copper coin" for emergency. In April of the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the Chengdu Mint of Sichuan, under the orders of the Sichuan Military Government, cast the "Sichuan Copper coin made by the military government" (also known as the "Han" copper coin).

Sichuan copper coin as money has always been regarded as a priceless treasure by collectors. The issuance time of currency by regional regimes is quite short, and the circulation area is narrow, so the value of the currency is not bad. In addition, due to the change of banknotes, copper coins are less issued, so the price is higher. "Sichuan Copper coin as one hundred words of money" is very rare in the world.
With the changes of the times, there are many kinds of ancient coins in China, and collectors are becoming more and more active. More people begin to pay attention to the value of ancient coins. Copper coin has a long history. It has passed the years since its issuance. It bears the historical culture. It can be imagined how valuable the copper coin has been retained till now. However, the number of copper coins in existence is small, and the space for their collection and appreciation is limitless. Coin is the product of history, has irreplaceable value of cultural relics, is the witness of history.
