編號(NO.): LD-101
This golden bowl of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty should be called "golden bowl with lotus petal pattern of Tang Mandarin Duck". The golden bowl is like a blooming flower. It is generally taken from the shape of lotus. The bowl wall is hammered into lotus petals. Then, in each of the most conspicuous lotus petals, an animal is used as the theme decoration. There are foxes, rabbits, roes, deer, parrots, mandarin ducks and so on. Flowers and grass of different shapes are filled around the bowl. Animals or legs run, or look back; birds or wings fly, or stand and inhabit, whether static or dynamic, all vivid, vivid, full of strong sense of rhythm, people can feel the passion of life jumping. Lotus petals in the lower layer are the same honeysuckle, with relative stability, create a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, foil the vitality of the upper animals. The selected animal theme is either common in hunting, or has the auspicious implication of harmony and happiness, multi-son and multi-fortune.
The golden bowl has a very fine circle of small golden beads arranged in one circle, which was made by craftsmen in the Tang Dynasty using a process called fried beads. The so-called fried beads, commonly known as a certain temperature difference between gold and water, when they meet, will burst. At that time, the craftsmen will drop the gold solution into warm water, explode tiny gold beads, and then choose a more uniform quality of welding on the surface of the utensils. This ancient technique, seemingly simple, actually covers a number of complex processes such as physical changes, chemical changes, electroplating process, polishing process and so on. In the Tang Dynasty, without any mechanical instruments, such technology was very clever.
This golden bowl is plump in shape, magnificent, magnificent in decoration, graceful and elegant, exquisite in craftsmanship and extraordinary in demeanor. It can be said to be a miniature of the flourishing Tang Dynasty and has great collection value.
In the Tang Dynasty, with the introduction of a large number of well-crafted Western gold and silver wares, this concave-convex and multi-petal style also appeared on Chinese gold and silver wares, and some elements conforming to Chinese traditional aesthetics were added in the absorption process, which changed the exaggerated shape of Western silver wares, and made the lines as soft and smooth as possible in the decorative style. They also adopt the method of general decoration rarely seen in Western silverware, which has more local characteristics in China.
