中國人對(duì)血玉玉石的特殊愛好自古有之，喜愛血玉甚于黃金和其它玉石，在古代“君子無故，玉不去身，君子與玉比德焉”，并以玉的溫潤色澤代表仁慈、堅(jiān)韌質(zhì)地象征智慧，不傷人的棱角表示公平正義。血玉是出產(chǎn)與西藏高原的一種紅色玉石,叫貢覺瑪之歌，俗稱高原血玉，因?yàn)樯室蠹t而得名。古往今來，血玉都是極為昂貴，因?yàn)檠袷菚r(shí)間罕見之物，一般只有歷代皇室、宰相級(jí)別才有幸使用之物。而血玉則被譽(yù)為，世上最美的玉飾。
