此枚《江南省造甲辰光緒元寶庫平七錢二分》銀幣正面中珠圈內(nèi)鐫滿漢文“光緒元寶”四字，圈外上端鐫“江南省造”，下端鐫幣重“庫平七錢二分”，左右兩側(cè)分鐫干支紀(jì)年“甲辰”二字。銀幣背面中鐫一個珍珠龍，上端鐫英文“江南省”，下端鐫英文幣重“庫平七錢二分”，左右兩側(cè)分別鐫一個長六花星。

光緒元寶是清朝光緒年間流通的貨幣之一。由兩廣總督張之洞率先引進英國鑄幣機器鑄造銀元和銅元，之后各省紛紛仿效，共有十九個省局鑄造。光緒年間鑄造了一系列銀幣，但江南省造光緒元寶由于不便于流通使用，故鑄額極其稀少，更顯珍貴。
