民國二十四年（1935年）國民政府廢止銀本位制，宣布實行法幣政策，逐步禁止銀元在市面上流通并將白銀收歸國有，隨后開始發行新的可在市場上流通的21種版別的新鎳幣。民國時期鎳質輔幣的流通從1936年2月一直到1948年末，流通近13年的時間，時間雖短，但對促進商品流通，方便百姓生活起到了其他幣種不可替代的作用。
In the twenty-fourth year of the Republic of China (1935), the National Government abolished the silver standard, announced the implementation of the French currency policy, gradually prohibited the circulation of silver in the market and nationalized silver, and then began issuing 21 new versions of nickel that could be circulated in the market. 此組藏品為中華民國二十九年一分幣和中華民國二十九年二分幣錢幣正面圖案為國民黨黨徽，上環“中華民國二十九年”，背面為中國古布幣圖，左右鑄“一分”、“二分”，正背面沿邊雕回形紋，幣面紋路清晰，包漿自然，字體清秀，圖案設計精美，工藝精湛，表面平整光潔，邊緣無明顯撞擊痕跡，由于證反面均上向部打印偏移，實屬異常少見，此乃精品錢幣。
