說起銀元,就不得不提起“袁大頭”銀元。其正式名稱應該為“袁世凱像背嘉禾銀幣”。因為錢幣正面有袁世凱側身像,而被稱作“袁大頭”。文中展示的此枚為中華民國三年袁大頭,錢幣正面袁世凱像上刻有年代。背面為幣值“伍圓”二字,周圍嘉禾圍繞。袁大頭在中國近代錢幣歷史上具有極重要的地位,也被稱為近代銀元之寶。
