1935年11月，國民黨宣布實(shí)行法幣政策，禁止銀元在市面流通。隨后發(fā)行可在市場上流通的21種版別的鎳幣；但其實(shí)早在1935年初，民國已經(jīng)委派美國費(fèi)城造幣廠鑄造伍分，拾分，廿分的鎳幣每種11枚，送交國民呈遞樣品。國民時(shí)期制幣事宜多與美國方面往來，如中央造幣廠之籌建，開工后之管理等皆得力于美方。“船洋”模具自始至終，全數(shù)由費(fèi)城造幣廠供應(yīng)。民國二十四年鎳幣試製亦由該廠為之，民國二十五年起由上海中央造幣廠生產(chǎn)。
In November 1935, the Kuomintang announced the implementation of the French currency policy, prohibiting the circulation of silver in the market. Subsequently, 21 versions of nickel coins were issued, which could be circulated on the market; however, as early as early as 1935, the Republic of China had appointed the Philadelphia Mint of the United States to mint, collect and distribute 11 nickels of 20 cents each to the citizens for submission of samples. During the National Period, most of the coinage matters were dealt with the United States, such as the preparation of the Central Mint and the management after the construction of the Mint. "Chuanyang" mould is supplied by Philadelphia Mint from beginning to end. In the twenty-fourth year of the Republic of China, the trial production of nickel coins was also carried out by the factory. Since the twenty-fifth year of the Republic of China, the nickel coins have been produced by the Shanghai Central Mint.
鎳幣是幣制改革的產(chǎn)物，以鎳替代貴金屬銀，在阻止西方列強(qiáng)掠奪中國白銀方面起到重要作用。

此幣為中華民國二十五年廿分鎳幣，錢幣正面鑄孫中山側(cè)面像，上端鑄“中華民國二十五年”，外緣飾有回形紋，設(shè)計(jì)心思縝密，浮雕周線建棱，雕工極為精湛，正看成紋側(cè)成花，令人嘆為觀止。錢幣背面中心為布幣紋，紋飾別具一格，新穎獨(dú)特，極具藝術(shù)氣息。左右兩端書“廿分”，邊緣以回形紋飾之，錢文清晰，端莊秀麗。
This coin is twenty-five nickels of the Republic of China, with Sun Yat-sen's profile on its front and "twenty-five years of the Republic of China" on its upper end. It is decorated with a palindrome pattern on its outer edge. Its design is meticulous, its relief lines are edged and its sculptor is exquisite. It is regarded as an amazing flower on its side. The center of the back of the coin is cloth coin pattern, which is unique, novel and artistic. The left and right ends of the book "20 minutes", the edge of which is decorated with a palindrome, Qian Wen is clear, dignified and beautiful.
