“軍政府造四川銅幣”是辛亥革命時(shí)期的產(chǎn)物。1911年12月發(fā)生“成都兵變”，以尹昌衡、羅綸為正副都督的四川軍政府取代了成立僅12天的大漢四川軍政府。新的四川軍政府成立之初即面臨著需用日繁、度支日絀的財(cái)政困窘局面。軍政府迅速接管了四川成都造幣廠，決定鑄造“四川銅幣”以應(yīng)急。民國(guó)元年（1912年）4月，四川成都造幣廠奉四川軍政府之命，開(kāi)模鑄造“軍政府造四川銅幣”（也稱(chēng)“漢”字銅元）。
"Sichuan Copper coin made by the military government" was the product of the 1911 Revolution. In December 1911, the Chengdu Mutiny took place. The Sichuan Military Government, with Yin Changheng and Laurent as its chief and deputy governors, replaced the Sichuan Military Government, which had only been established for 12 days. At the beginning of the establishment of the new Sichuan military government, it was faced with the financial predicament that needed more and more money and spent less and less. The military government quickly took over the Chengdu Mint in Sichuan and decided to coin "Sichuan Copper coin" for emergency. In April of the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the Chengdu Mint of Sichuan, under the orders of the Sichuan Military Government, cast the "Sichuan Copper coin made by the military government" (also known as the "Han" copper coin).
“當(dāng)制錢(qián)二十文”軍政府造“四川銅幣”。該幣正面中央珠圈內(nèi)有“四川銅幣”四字，上下左右分列，其中心紋飾為芙蓉花紋。珠圈上緣書(shū)“軍政府造”四字，下緣為“當(dāng)制錢(qián)二十文”字樣，標(biāo)明幣值，左右飾以花星紋飾。銅幣背面中央大圓圈內(nèi)為一篆書(shū)“漢”字，“漢”字底有數(shù)十條橫直紋，因而錢(qián)幣收藏者也稱(chēng)之為“漢”字銅元。“漢”字圓圈外還環(huán)繞有18個(gè)小圓圈，代表當(dāng)時(shí)的十八個(gè)省份。把18個(gè)小圓圈圍繞著“漢”字聯(lián)成一體，寓意十八省人民團(tuán)結(jié)起來(lái)共同為“驅(qū)逐韃虜，恢復(fù)中華”而戰(zhàn)斗。

The front of the coin has four characters of "Sichuan Copper coin" in the central bead circle, which is divided from top to bottom, and the central decoration of the coin is Hibiscus pattern. The upper margin of the bead circle is "made by the military government" and the lower margin is "made of 20 pieces of money", indicating the value of the currency and decorating the left and right with flower stars. On the back of the large circle in the center of the copper coin is a seal book "Han". There are dozens of horizontal lines on the bottom of the word "Han". Therefore, coin collectors also call it "Han" copper yuan. There were 18 small circles outside the "Han" circle, representing 18 provinces at that time. The combination of 18 small circles around the word "Han" implies that the people of 18 provinces united to fight for "expelling the Tartars and restoring China".
它帶有辛亥革命那一時(shí)期鮮明的時(shí)代印記，見(jiàn)證了那一段波瀾壯闊的革命歷史。四川銅幣在清末初鑄時(shí)，質(zhì)量較好，一般都是用紫銅，此種黃銅材質(zhì)的更為稀少，銅元的含銅量在96%--97%左右。
