此枚孫小頭為“出頭圓”版本，正面中央為孫中山側面肖像，邊緣內上鐫中文隸書體“中華民國”四字、下鐫“開國紀念幣”五字、左右長枝花飾。背面中央為中文隸書體“壹 圓”，裝飾嘉禾，圓字中的口與邊框連接并略微溢出，從而形成了出頭圓。邊緣上側鑄有“MEMENTO”(紀念幣)字樣，下側為“BIRTH OF REPUBLIC OF CHINA”(中華民國誕生)，左右上方分列六角星圖案，直線邊齒。
This version of Sun Xiaotou is "out of the head round". The front center is a side portrait of Sun Yat-sen.
