永樂款銅香爐 高7.5 cm，口徑9 cm，鑄于明代永樂時期。香爐口部微侈，折沿，上有兩只橋形耳，束頸，鼓腹，下有三只鈍錐足。器物外底正中刻“永樂年制”四字。香習俗在我國歷史悠久，人們多用于祭祀、熏衣等，更有不少文人雅士喜歡在書房內焚上一炷香，頗有“紅袖添香夜讀書”的意境。早在漢代前，中國就出現了陶、瓷、銅、鐵、瓦為材料制成的香爐。
