1911年辛亥革命爆發后，革命黨在南京建立臨時政府，各省代表推舉孫中山為臨時大總統，1912年元月民國正式建立。民國25年是1936年發行的一枚錢幣，面值為一分。民國二十五年由上海中央造幣廠制造。該幣的鑄造時間只有四年，即民國二十五至二十八年，鑄數較少，能流傳至今并保存完好的就更加稀少，存世量不多，非常珍貴。
