2022年10月31日,“META CODE 元界密碼” 劉國(guó)義個(gè)展在北京中糧廣場(chǎng)隆重開(kāi)幕,此次展覽將持續(xù)到12月24日。
Godwin Liu 劉國(guó)義,1974 年出生于安徽淮南,現(xiàn)居北京,獨(dú)立藝術(shù)家、策展人。以夢(mèng)境尋求本真的獨(dú)立職業(yè)藝術(shù)家和藝術(shù)寓言化改造的踐行者。
“元界”是最近的流行語(yǔ)之一。這個(gè)詞實(shí)際上來(lái)自古希臘,意思是“超越”,“之后”,或“后面”。元界用于描述自我反思或自我參照的事物。
劉國(guó)義在元界流行之前就對(duì)它有深刻的認(rèn)知,他完全打破了傳統(tǒng)繪畫的所見(jiàn)即所得,而是把自己心靈深處的童真和夢(mèng)境,通過(guò)布面和立體雕塑的形式展現(xiàn)出來(lái)。他的藝術(shù)作品神秘而又充滿新意,給人無(wú)限的遐想空間。同一件作品,不同的人會(huì)有不同的觀感;甚至同一個(gè)人觀賞同一件作品,在不同的時(shí)間,不同的環(huán)境,不同的心情,都會(huì)有不同的觀點(diǎn)表達(dá)。
劉國(guó)義的作品是通過(guò)夢(mèng)境來(lái)追求真我,他掙脫束縛,為觀者提供了對(duì)于繪畫語(yǔ)言神秘色彩的密碼。更重要的是,他的作品是一種媒介,觀眾可以通過(guò)這種媒介進(jìn)入自我的私人通道來(lái)探索他們自我參照的事物,這是獨(dú)特的、獨(dú)一無(wú)二的。
Meta is one of the buzz words these days, the word in fact came from the ancient Greeks which meant “beyond”, “after”, or “behind”. Meta is used to describe something that is self-reflective or self-referencing.
Godwin Liu recognized Meta before it is in fashion. He completely broke away from the traditional straight-out demonstration and instead expressed his childlike innocence and dreams that are deep inside him on canvas and via three-dimensional sculptures. His works are mysterious and full of new ideas, providing people with infinite space for imagination. Different people have different impressions of his art work; the same art piece may embrace different perspectives from the same person at different times, different environment, and different state of mind.
Godwin Liu's works are about pursuing his true self through dreams. He breaks free from the shackles. 之前的作品來(lái)源于夢(mèng)境與潛意識(shí),但現(xiàn)在的作品似乎又有了更好玩的場(chǎng)面,可能是一種神秘力量的推動(dòng),使我的源源不斷的像井噴般的靈感從內(nèi)心世界爆發(fā)出來(lái)。似乎每天都在幻想與現(xiàn)實(shí)中來(lái)往穿梭,把那幻城的盛宴描繪在現(xiàn)實(shí)的世界中,也許這是一場(chǎng)魔幻劇,與一千個(gè)哈姆雷特的對(duì)話。--藝術(shù)家劉國(guó)義自述。
